After twenty years of teaching, Rebecca Brothers now writes full time for children and adults in her native Kentucky. Her awarding winning essays, poems, short stories, and feature articles appear in places like the Instant Noodles website, Dirty Spoon podcast, Kaleidoscope Magazine, the Gothic Fantasy anthology from Flame Tree Press, and Kentucky Humanities Magazine. She often writes about the folklore and history of her native Kentucky, updating the tales for a modern audience. She has a loyal dog, a lazy lizard, and a school of fish who mostly stay out of her way. Her wonderful husband and two kids help keep all the animals alive when Rebecca is lost in her writing.

Kate Foot lives in the Forest of Dean with her husband, three dogs and two cats. She is autistic, disabled, and spends an inordinate amount of time arguing with chronic illness about what she’s allowed to do today. She has written one book, about autism and bereavement, titled Life Goes On, which is currently under submission and looking for a publisher home. Her essay “Be Kind” was recently published in Hot Pot Magazine, and she has several short stories under consideration.

R. David Fulcher is an author of horror, science fiction, fantasy, and poetry. Major literary influences include H.P. Lovecraft, Dean Koontz, Edgar Allen Poe, Fritz Lieber, and Stephen King. Fulcher’s first novel, a historical drama set in World War II, Trains to Nowhere, and his second novel, a collection of fantasy and science fiction short stories, Blood Spiders and Dark Moon, are both available from authorhouse.com and Amazon. Shoshauna Shy is the founder of Woodrow Hall Editions and the Poetry Jumps Off the Shelf program. One of her poems was nominated for Best of the Net in 2021, and another longlisted for the Fish Publishing Poetry Prize 2022. Her poems have been made into video, produced inside taxi cabs, and even decorated the hind quarters of city buses. Not a monogamous writer, she works on 7-11 pieces at the same time. She is also a flash fiction author— but that’s another story!

Edward Michael Supranowicz is the grandson of Irish and Russian/Ukrainian immigrants. He grew up on a small farm in Appalachia. He has a grad background in painting and printmaking. Edward is also a published poet who has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize multiple times.

WALKER
Nancy North Walker is an award-winning “second act” short fiction writer from Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, who took up creative writing following a long career as a business communications executive in Chicago, New York, and New Jersey. She’s partial to speculative fiction, especially sci-fi, horror, and magical realism, but also dabbles in rom-com and contemporary fiction. Her short stories have appeared in several mid-Atlantic anthologies and Devil’s Party Press’s (DPP’s) online literary magazine, Instant Noodles. Walker’s first horror story, Insecticide, which appeared in DPP’s Halloween Party ’21 anthology, won second place for single short stories in the 2022 National Communications Contest sponsored by the National Federation of Press Women. It also won first place in the 2022 Delaware Press Association’s Communications Contest. Her sci-fi flash fiction story New Year’s 2044 With George, which appeared in DPP’s Instant Noodles, won second place in the same contest. Another of her sci-fi stories, The Companion, won a Judge’s Award in the 2021 Rehoboth Beach Reads Short Story Contest. It was published along with other contest winners by Cat & Mouse Press in their fall 2021 anthology, Beach Secrets. Walker was a winner of the same short story contest in 2019 and was published in Cat & Mouse Press’s Beach Dreams. Walker is currently working on a provocative sci-fi short story collection about the many unexpected ways advanced technology will change people’s lives in the coming decades.
