SUISIO – Spencer Jean Allder

in Suisio
Tomatoes grow
Vines twirl
Through iron gates
Up stucco walls
Down river banks
and You and I
We split a plum
A glass of wine
to set the Sun

We step inside
bare feet on the cold tile
Relinquish our fear
If only for a while

Your rosy cheeks
These eyes adore
An auburn red
A deep azure
My humble camera
cannot capture
Your pure design
my tired rapture

Pray, darling porcelain
do rest your head
of curly locks
Down on this bed
And when we wake
The pigeons soar
The bells’ round chimes
Roll through the door

The sky will glow
my Love
in soft, sovereign Suisio
